The Oberforsthof is located in the middle of the Salzburger Land, approx. 60 km south of the festival city of Salzburg and only 3 km from the center of St. Johann in the district of Alpendorf at 760 m above sea level. That means: Our hotel is easily accessible by all means of transport. Also by train, bus or car – as good as hardly any other ski area in Austria.

Except for the last few kilometers, you arrive via the autobahn: via the A10 Tauern autobahn – exit at Pongau Bischofshofen/St. Johann, towards St. Johann/Alpendorf (B311) Traffic jam info: current reports can be found here!
The train station in St. Johann is a fast and express train hub with many direct connections in all directions. From there it is only a few kilometers to us – and you can cover them in a relaxed manner in our free shuttle.
